Lessons — Vacations

A week with your dog on the farm.

Live too far away to come for regular lessons? A weekend clinic too impersonal, or just not long enough? A herding vacation gives you time on the farm with your dog without the intensity of a month-long stay.

You get two lessons a day for seven days, starting with a morning lesson on the day of your choice. Morning lessons are typically at 9 or 10 a.m.; the afternoon lesson is at 3 p.m., though that can be flexible. Some sessions will be just you, and some will be with our regular weekly students — we find that having other people to watch is often even more informative than your own lesson.

In between, you can watch our collection of herding videos, sit back and relax, or go explore the area. Want to skip an afternoon lesson and day-trip to the coast, Portland, or somewhere else? No problem — it's your vacation.

Lodging

There are a number of motels that take dogs, 15 to 20 minutes from the farm. If you have an RV or camper trailer, you can stay on the farm.
